If you're looking for a stable workplace with a strong reputation, professional growth opportunities, and a friendly team – Stockmann is the place for you!
Design, develop and maintain enterprise grade dashboards, reports and semantic data models in Power BI, turning AWS hosted data into clear, trusted financial and operational insights that guide decision making across Stockmann.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Legacy migration – Deliver the reporting migration backlog for the Sales, Crazy Days and loyalty customer domains, moving priority reports from legacy tools to Power BI on Fabric against the new data platform.
- Taking development in-house – Take over reporting development currently delivered by partners, so that the BI team owns its domains end to end – from discovery to release and support.
- Shared semantic models – Build reusable, certified models for sales and customer KPIs with consistent definitions across reports and teams.
- Campaign readiness – Ensure reliable, timely reporting ahead of and during Crazy Days and other key campaign periods.
- Adoption – Drive use of the reporting through training, documentation and usage follow-up, and retire reports that no longer serve a decision.
- Domain ownership – Own the backlog, models, dashboards and stakeholder relationships for Sales, Crazy Days and loyalty customer.
- Power BI solution delivery – Design, develop, test and maintain semantic models, DAX measures, Power Query transformations and reports on Microsoft Fabric.
- Business discovery – Lead workshops, clarify business questions, define KPIs and translate needs into pragmatic BI solutions.
- Quality and performance – Apply sound modelling, access control, testing, version control, documentation and performance practices.
- Enablement and coaching – Train business users and spar with lead analysts and fellow developers on Power BI best practices.
- Roadmap – Plan work proactively and contribute to the Power BI roadmap.
Job requirement:
- Several years in BI, analytics or reporting roles, including substantial recent hands-on Power BI development.
- Demonstrated ownership of a business domain, reporting product or comparable workstream with multiple stakeholders.
- Advanced Power BI – Strong hands-on capability in semantic modelling, DAX, Power Query/M, report design, performance optimisation and access control.
- SQL and data modelling – Confident working with relational and cloud data platforms and building clear, maintainable analytical models.
- Evidence of leading workshops and delivering complex BI solutions with limited supervision.
- Experience working closely with business, analytics, data engineering and technology teams in an international or partner-supported environment.
- Relevant university degree or equivalent practical experience.
- Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst (PL-300) or Fabric Analytics Engineer (DP-600), or comparable evidence of capability, preferred.
We offer:
- Opportunity to gain professional experience in an international company.
- Monthly salary: 4000 - 4400 EUR Gross (based on experience and competences).
- A wide range of employee benefits and bonuses.
- Great working environment and support in the work process.
- Workplace in Riga, long term stability.
